A Year 10 student, Letitia McKee, from St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington, Wirral, has been crowned Young Sports Person of the Year at the annual Wirral Sports Awards.
The awards, which took place recently at the town’s Floral Pavillion, recognise the achievements of Wirral’s dedicated sportspeople and are open to anybody who lives in Wirral.
The Young Sports Person of the Year award, sponsored by Liverpool ONE, celebrates the outstanding achievements of young people who showcase passion, commitment and talent in their sport.
This year, the Wirral Sports Awards celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Letitia, who is currently in Year 10 at the college, scooped the esteemed award despite facing some tough competition from fellow young athletes.
