This a full-time all year round post however we will consider applicants who are interested in any full or part time working arrangements, including term time only, annualised hours, reduced days per week, job sharing and any other agile/flexible working arrangement.

The Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Lay Chaplain to work across both Saint Paul’s Catholic High School, Newall Green and All Saints Catholic College, Dukinfield. The Trust, in conjunction with the Local Governing Bodies, is seeking to appoint committed and practising Catholics who have the experience, motivation, enthusiasm and passion to provide rich opportunities for our young people to encounter God and to deepen their relationship with Him. Candidates will also have the skill set to work in partnership with the Headteachers of each school.
It is envisioned that this role will be split equally across both schools however flexibility will be required depending on the needs of each school at any given time.
Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust is a forward thinking and expanding multi-academy Trust currently comprising of 5 schools across Manchester and Tameside. The Trust will expand to 7 schools from September 2023 and will include schools from Stockport and Trafford. The successful applicant will have opportunities to work and build relationships across these boroughs and be part of shaping the vision for Catholic Life in our schools.
The main duties of the role are:
- To provide spiritual and pastoral support to young people across both schools, providing opportunities for reflection.
- To develop and enhance the spiritual, liturgical and prayer life of the schools.
- To organise and provide opportunities for worship, school liturgies and retreats.
- To develop links between the schools, the Diocese, local parishes and the widercommunity.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a practising and committed Catholic able to articulate a clear vision for Catholic Life
- Lead by example through having strong moral principles and values and champion the needs of all of our young people.
- Be committed to safeguarding
- Be able to promote and be a model of Catholic values
- Be a good listener and counsellor who shows empathy for those are struggling forwhatever reason.
- Be open to new ideas, be committed to working as part of a team, have a “can do”attitude and, essentially, have a good sense of humour.We can offer the successful candidate:
• A recruitment and retention bonus of £3000 which is payable in the first month of your employment. Should you resign within 3 years this would be repayable on a tapered basis as follows:
1-12 months service = £3000 repayment 13-24 months service = £2000 repayment 25-36 months service = £3000 repayment
